Midwest Rotary Rally

Midwest Rotary Rally 2003 Logo

August 22 - 24, 2004

The Midwest Rotary Rally (MRR) is the oldest and largest event of its kind. Rotary enthusiasts will be converging on Road America from all points of the Midwest and beyond. While the primary cars brought to the event are RX-7s, in the past vehicles as diverse as the Rotary Engine Pick Up (REPU) have attended. This year should see a number of RX-8s turn out as well.

Continuing the tradition, the MRR is a two-plus day event including a car show/concours, swap meet, performance tuning technical sessions by leading rotary tuners, the opportunity to drive on the track during lunch on Saturday, and picnics and dinners. New for this year is a Star Mazda formula car exhibit, and an RX-8 display car.

Technical Sessions/talks are being finalized, and are targeted for 4 per day.

We will be watching on-track racing at Road America that weekend which features:

  • Star Mazda formula cars
  • Speed World Challenge GT class (the Pettit/Info-vision 3rd gen RX-7 runs in this series)
  • Speed World Challenge Touring class (Mazda Proteges from Tri-Point and other teams)
  • and the headline racing of the American LeMans Series (ALMS)
