Front Bumpers

Some buying considerations when looking for a new bumper:

None of the factory ducts (e.g.- radiator, intercooler, oil cooler) are likely to fit with the new bumper, so make sure you either can buy these ducts to match the new bumper, or have new ones fabricated (i.e.- to avoid overheating)
Many of these have an optional undertray that goes with them. This is probably mandatory as running w/o one or with one not meant for the specific bumper could be hazardous and have severe aeor impacts
Fiberglass might be cheaper, but is going to be a lot more fragile than urethane bumpers
You should also budget for painting and installing, if you plan to have a shop do the work
Many require different turn signals, e.g.- the '98 - '01 Japanese spec front bumpers. Some aftermarket ones uses these later turn signals too. more money...
If you rae planning to use a spoecific front mount IC, then you will want to mke sure it will fit before you plunk down the cash.

I did along with several friends, we bought them from various places, I got mine from Rotary Performance (http://www.rx7.com) but Cork Sport gets them too.

I believe the bumper was in the $900 range, its been so long I don't remember. You will need to get the reinforcement otherwise the bumper will sag or you'll end up spending the money modifying the 93-98 reinforcment, so its not worth it, just buy the correct part. Also you'll need the combination lights. I bought the OE brake ducts from Mazdacomp, I also recently bought R-Magic fiberglass oil cooler ducts since the 99 rx-7 deleted the oil cooler ducts. I just ordered a new front underpan that cleans up the whole front underside, its a new OE part from Mazda, Cork Sport is getting it for me.

Paint cost varies, a friend and myself painted our cars completely at the same shop, so a paint job depends on what you want done, I paid $10k for the paint job with other modification I wanted made to the car. You can get $3k paint jobs to the sky is the limit. Blending can be successful that will depend on the color of your car. The Competition Yellow Mica is impossible to match. No matter what we tried, you can see the difference.
