Fuel Cells

I don't know of any "bolt in" fuel cells for the [3]. Best bet is to call/email ATL or Fuelsafe to see what they recommend.

I'm about to head down this path myself with my new, "in process" street/track car. Good luck, and make sure all your fuel lines are well shielded from the passenger area.

Fire Extinguishers / Suppression Systems

While I was looking through the OG Racing catalog, I saw that they had halon fire extinguishers, which several people had suggested since they don't leave a messy residue. It is a 2-1/2 lb extinguisher. OG offers it in red and chrome. $124 and $145, respectivley.

I am leaning towards the red one since it would be immediately visible, whereas chrome may not necessarily say to other people "hey, I'm a fire extinguisher". Any opinions on this? I like the idea of the chrome one for looks.

Are there any regulations/rules for any sanctioning body on this that say it has to be red? Or if the rules mention anything about fire systems do they go straight to a fire suppression system and not even mention extinguishers?

It looks like Halon 1301 is what you want to use for a fire suppression system that is installed for use in the passenger compartment.

Halon 1211 is commonly used for fire extinguishers (i.e.- regular old extinguisher as opposed to fire suppression system).

I was doing some research today and found a great page with lots of info on the proper use of safety wire. http://akvo.com/robm/pantera/upgrades/safety_wire.html
